Vice President

Chris Beth is a seasoned professional with 34 years of dedicated service in the field of parks and recreation. In April 2024, Chris retired as the Director of the Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and now lives full time in Nine Mile Falls.
Throughout his extensive career, Chris has honed his expertise in various aspects of parks and recreation management, including park planning and development, strategic planning, management analysis, budgeting, partnership development, special events coordination, arts and culture programs, and public engagement initiatives.
Chris’s commitment to advancing the field is evident through his involvement in professional organizations. He has served on the California Park and Recreation Society’s (CPRS) Board of Directors, where he also held the prestigious position of President. Additionally, his contributions to the field have been recognized nationally with induction as a Fellow of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA).
With a wealth of experience and a passion for enhancing public spaces and neighborhood services, Chris now is focused giving his time locally for his love of Nine Mile Falls and to the Friends of Lake Spokane Parks.
Secretary

Georgia Davenport is the Secretary and former President of Friends of Lake Spokane Parks. She has a long history of volunteerism and work in conservation including, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Colorado Conservation Corp.
She helped form Friends of Lake Spokane Parks in late 2021 and is very excited to be part of the effort to build a community space in Nine Mile Falls for kids, teenagers, and adults.
Treasurer

Aaron Davenport is the Treasurer for Friends of Lake Spokane Parks. He is an Airforce Veteran and has volunteered many times to improve the Eagle Bluff and Tall Pines parks, including with four clean up efforts, putting up signage, and much more!
